The project, while not being defined as a religious space, evokes the sacredness of the rite of passage through careful attention to materials, lighting, and the arrangement of spaces. The large original open space, characteristic of the showroom, has been reimagined as a fluid sequence of environments that encourage contemplation, with intimate and private areas for moments of personal reflection. The use of natural materials like light wood creates a dialogue with the natural light, which gently filters through large windows. The furnishings, reduced to the essentials, support a minimalist and functional aesthetic, where every element contributes to the creation of a welcoming and respectful atmosphere. The seating, upholstered in soft fabrics in neutral tones, is arranged to foster contemplation without imposing a rigid spatial hierarchy. The use of movable walls allows the spaces to be adapted to different needs, always maintaining a sense of openness and flexibility.

This green intervention emphasizes the transition between public and private space, between the outside and the inside, offering a subtle but present connection with nature. The renovation thus succeeds in transforming a commercial space into a sober and welcoming place for farewells, where the design respects and supports the delicacy of the moment without falling into decorative excess. A balance between the sacred and the secular, where the dignity of the farewell finds a respectful, contemporary, and profoundly human setting

Funeral Home - Renovation

The renovation of a space previously used as a furniture store into a modern funeral home represents an example of how architecture can transform everyday places into environments capable of evoking silence, reflection, and contemplation.
